A new favorite
Roadogg on 11/07/15
I received 5 of these Gigantes as a JR freebie (I love this company). A cigar I probably would not have tried but now has become my favorite. Slightly woody, slightly spicy and wonderfully balanced. A perfect anytime smoke. I would have rated it higher but several had slits in the wrapper which caused it to separate.

I smoke a lot of cigars and Partagas hast to be the most consistent of them all. Excellent construction and a smooth, easy draw with a unmistakable Cameroon taste. Indeed the best Cameroon wrapper out there.
Would buy again

The Partagas Gigante is a nice evening cigar, I could see myself picking up one of these for a bonfire or fishing trip. Flavor is not the best, fairly robust earthy tones, that stays consistent throughout. The draw is smooth, works best with a cross v-cut for me. A medium-large punch would work well. This paired best with a dark porter.
Consistent flavors throughout!
Delmarpainter on 04/28/16
First third starts with coffee flavor, along with leather and wood; the finish is mostly earthy. Draw is loose so dont take fast puffs. This stick is made to enjoy at a leisurely pace. Second third, coffee notes go away replaced by cinnamon spice notes. Burns very well, tightly packed, smoke output is on the low side though. Flavors intensify during the last third, great overall cigar, fantastic flavors!
One for the collection.
Brutus8170 on 04/27/16
The Partagas is a wonderful cigar, the draw is smooth and easy and the flavor of the cigar is what you would except. Excellent in every way possible. You always need to have this one in your collection for your enjoyment. Salute.
Decent, just not for me.
Sthatcher on 04/17/16
Ok so I was only somewhat impressed with this cigar. I had two just to see if it was the first one. The wrapper was not put together well, it had to be relit a couple of times. The flavor was great though, and the size was great though.
Partagas Gigante review
raffivarozian on 04/10/16
I prefer the Cuban version of these legacy brands. Only one that holds up would be some Dominican RyJs. This is more of a semi-beginner stick. A little more kick than other brands, IMO not worth it if you're a veteran smoker, if I had these in my humi I'd be passing them out to guests who don't know much about cigars and wouldn't know the difference anyway.
Ok for the price
TxReb on 04/09/16
For the price this is a decent stick. Not one of my favorites, but one that I would try again. The flavor was ok nothing really earth shattering. I had issues with it staying lit, but I may just have not stayed on top of it.
Partagas Gig Cigar Review
Fuentes 8-5-8 on 04/08/16
This is a medium-strong cigar. Upon lighting first flavor is leather and coffee. 15 minutes into smoking more leather tones than coffee. Very earthy cigar. ½ hr into smoking the flavor of coffee has completely disappeared, more of a woodys flavor. Construction of cigar was not impressive. I was rather disappointed with this cigar.
Big but that's about it.
Cigarbacca on 04/05/16
I'm assuming I got a bad batch but I got a five pack from another online cigar retailer at what I thought was a good price unfortunately I got a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended . The taste was actually not bad nutty with some dark fruit and chocolate but I didn't get enough because the draw was terrible I thought it might have been an acclimation issue so I left some in my meticulously kept humidor to acclimize but no dice I think it's a construction issue I don't know if they all have that same problem because I'm usually a huge parts has fan. Sorry guys but didn't enjoy this smoke.
Awesome awesome cigar
Rshxanadu2112 on 03/28/16
There is not a bad thing I can say about Partagas or any of their cigars. They are as consistent as Padron I find every one of their sticks to be very very good. Although my palate may be different than others I think this is an excellent staple to have in your humidor
Sit back and enjoy for a couple of hours
Ozmosis on 03/20/16
The partagas gigante is a big smoke. I enjoyed it very much but the real habano puro is the way to go. Partagas Gigante was a medium to full body but the Habana version was full body all the way. I recommend them both, just make sure you have a lot of time on your hands.
Will try another
The Dark Archer on 03/10/16
I have only burned one of these babys so I can't coment on the consistency.the flavor was "ok",but a little mild for my taste.the burn was even and the construction was very good.if given the opportunity I would smoke a second one for sure
Great in a hot summer day.
Brandonrit on 03/08/16
Decent medium bodied cigar for the money. I normally smoke a fuller bodied stick, but I new what I was getting into with this one. Great for a hot summer day and a lite beer. Draw is smooth for the value. However it deffinately is a faster smoke. I also found these ten to burn a little hot.
Not bad for rhe piece
Rexpepper651 on 03/06/16
The first 5 Pack i got they were horrible! Every one of them was tight as all can be. Unsmokeable! So i have given them another try. This pack was great! Smooth flavorful and perfect draw. Maybe it was a dud batch idm but i do like em!
Chris on 03/04/16
When they decided to name this 60 ring gauge Gigante, they were spot on. A massive smoke with massive flavor, packaged in a box of 25, its draw and burn are excellent thanks to its aged long filler tobaccos. It uses a wrapper from Cameroon, giving it a leathery and peppery taste.
Gwinny on 02/26/16
The cigar has a good luck with the little tooth to it. First dirt is not as strong as I thought it would be more of a medium smoke. Has slight peppering to nutty flavor. I've always been a big fan of Partegus. Second and third third have leathery Blackpepper notes with a hint of sweetness. I would smoke it againif given it at a party
Mike on 02/25/16
I love Gordo and double size Toro cigars....they are my after work go to smokes. I usually don't buy Partagas cigars because they usually leave me lacking in flavor. But after 3 months in my humidor this giant gave off great flavors of wood and pepper. Excellent light and draw this cigar lasted about an hour and a half. Some touch ups were needed towards the second half. Flavor did not intensify at second half and was left with only tobacco taste. Rating. ....3.9 out of 5.
Big, flavorful, and full of power.
upinsmoke on 02/06/16
While I do not usually smoke big cigars this one caught my eye in a four pack special. I am a regular smoker the Cuban Partagas cigars, and these are pretty good as well. Comparable to the Cuban Series E No. 2, the gigante is a medium strength, full flavored cigar. Upon firing it up you are hit with pepper, leather, some cinnamon and hint of vanilla. Tasty indeed. Being as large as they are, these are best enjoyed when one has plenty of time to simple sit back and puff after a large meal. Large tasty and satisfying, the gigante is a great cigar. I wouldn't hesitate for a box ourchase!
Stoney on 01/23/16
This cigar is a nicely constructed, nice puffing, smoke station. I love the full flavor of it, and the way it smokes without giving up on you! Didn't have any trouble lighting this one up, and the cigar cutter was perfect for it!
Officer6712 on 01/21/16
I'm a huge Partagus fan but I don't think this one is quite up to the standards it should be. Don't hear me wrong it's got great flavor and burn but the construction is off. The cap was like concert and the draw was a bit tight.
Got to try
EdRuffe on 01/13/16
One of my favorite cigars. The first third smoke has a coffee taste to it that is delicious. The second third smoke gives off a fire pit, leather, charcoal burn that provides a welcoming aroma and even better taste. Price tag isn't to bad either.
NC Partagas live up to big reputation.
Champagne InHand on 01/12/16
NC Partagas are solid cigars that give some pepper and remain an even burn and provide a pleasing amount of white smoke and ash while flirting with other wood, nut and mocha flavors.
Save your jaw, get a torpedo !!
Martycigar on 01/09/16
Not one of my favorites in this storied brand. Cigars of this ring gadge are hard on the jaw if you like to retain them in your mouth. I like a cool smoking cigar also so I get a torpedo and keep my jaw happy.
A Decent Cigar
Bonjaker81 on 12/31/15
Very "middle of the road" flavor profile, consistent notes of cedar and earth. Personally don't find "non Cuban" Partagas cigars that appealing. Very mild strength so may be a good beginner cigar for someone looking for a consistent, well constructed stick.
Have had better
Jeepfreek on 12/31/15
i dont know, I bought it in the 3 pack sampler, the black was good, strong but still a good cigar. but this one was DRY with a weak taste, and aroma. the construction was a little shabby...hey maybe i got a bad one. All in all i think i will be saying farwell to partagas, there are a number of better cigars out there in this price range.
Vtbullmoose on 12/29/15
It's a good smoke, but due to the draw and consistency to vary more than I would like I can not call it a great smoke. Still a very enjoyable cigar with flavor, just don't expect your first puff to be the same as your last.
Excellent for yard work!
Killerjaz123 on 12/25/15
Excellent smoke. Didn't really pay attention to much to the thirds on this one. I use these as my "yard stick". Maintain an excellent earth and spice notes. Would recommend for fishing, poker, yard work and much more!
Jimmiesea on 12/24/15
The size of this beauty is not my favorite, but the taste makes up for it. I liked the way the construction held together even though it took forever to smoke and not because of a bad draw. Everything except for the size was excellent in my opinion!!
Roadogg on 12/03/15
These are great tasting cigars with mediocre construction. Taste Is a wonderful medium blend of wood with slight spice. Burn and draw are first class until it starts shedding its wrapper. All of these cigars I received either had slits in the wrapper or had a wrapper that fell apart, some to the point of unsmokeable. I even rechecked my humidor for accuracy regarding temperature and humiditu, everything was good. I cannot justify purchasing again.
Why, why gigante? Unnecessary and dumb.
Darkpartys on 11/20/15
Normally partakes are typical, same things,as they've always been, just there. This is rediculous. A gigante, really?? I go T understand the trend with these large vitolas it's dumb and takes away from a good cigar.
Not my favorite flavor profile-but good for what it is
CigarGirl on 11/13/15
Very leathery, spicy and peppery cigar, flavor not necessarily something I'm usually into. however, if you like those flavors then this would be good for you! My friend tried it and he's into those flavors and like it very much, so I guess it's just my personal taste didn't line up.
Talking Bowtie on 11/11/15
It has a decent flavor but not that great. This isnt a bad stick and would be perfect for the front nine or maybe hanging out talking trash with the guys. It is on the milder side of medium and very balanced but not overly impressive. I enjoyed it better with a glass of red wine. I would smoke it again just to have something to smoke on a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.
Good long smoke.
Big Daddy^2 on 05/04/16
I'm partial to this Partagas line, and this Gigante is no different. I wouldn't call this cigar a "flavor bomb" but, it has enough to keep you smoking down to the nub. Be ready though, you'll need some time to smoke this one.
