Partagas Black Label

Magnifico · 6 × 54 PABM

Packaged in a box of 20, the Magnifico is a hefty Toro that comes with a lot of heavy flavor. Its filler has a nice blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican vintage tobaccos. Its wrapper is a unique Connecticut Medio Tiempo that’s both maduro and sun grown. This creates a nice mix of spicy with a dark sweet taste.

Partargas Black Label

Edziu on 07/20/15

This is one of the best cigars I have ever had. The strength is perfect and full of flavor. It smokes like you dream about how a great cigar would taste. You want to enjoy this one without interruption.

good flavor, uneven burn

don b on 08/04/15

Good flavor, good draw, but ... 20 cigars in a box and 15 burn unevenly. Shouldn't a $4.50 Partagas (including shipping) burn evenly? I know how to clip a cap and light a cigar. These burn much less evenly than the Partagas I used to smoke. Be warned.

Good everyday cigar.

KentV57 on 06/22/15

Good everyday cigar. It's on the strong side but that's how I like em. The cap tends to fall off on some midway through. Need to keep the wrapper moist to avoid this problem.

Very Inconsistent

p47koji on 10/03/15

I've smoked 12 of the 20 sticks. Five of the 12 were unsatisfactory in that they burned unevenly. One burn looked like the state of New Hampshire it was so bad. One required numerous relights; I gave up after half way - it was like a lump of coal where the burn stopped. One oddity amongst these bad burns: the label had an overall green tinge. While the wrapper is spicy, I rated this smoke as below par.

dito inconsistent

fyr4efect on 12/05/15

Tobacco is on the harsh side. Should be better for the price asking. Half the time they burn uneven. ! out of five is good.

A must have 15/15

Nick_or_Rutledge on 10/18/15

A well made cigar. The wrapper is tight and holds up well to the occasional gnawing. The draw is superb, but the burn rate is a bit too high. There was a slight unevenness to the burn, but it was easily managed by keeping the fast side up. +4.5 The smoke is spectacular! Thick, creamy and luxurious. I would love to fill a room in it and bask in the pillowy cloud. +5 Nuts! Cashews and almonds dominate the flavor early and powerful soil, moss and darleeling bring it home. This is a full body cigar, but the creamy smoke mellows the onslaught much like nitro mellows a stout. +5.5 (I normally only go to five, but this cigar has a piquancy that merits extra) Overall, this is a top ten cigar. It is a quintessential scotch cigar, though it would also work well with the aforementioned nitro stout. Even with the burn issues this cigar is a must for your humidor. 15/15

Partagas

My favorite cigar. Best bang for your buck. It has everything in one cigar. It is bold and spicy yet I find it smooth, long lasting and enjoyable.

Favorite Standby

43 years of (JR Cigar) cigar smoking has honed my preferences exclusively to the Partagas Black Label (Magnifico 6 x 54). It is wonderfully made, tightly rolled, beautiful to behold, sensuous to the touch, bursting with dark and rich flavors, powerful--and even overpowering at times--but always leaving me with the feeling that I have spent precious time with a beloved old friend.

great cigars

Zucco512 on 07/29/15

These are by far my favorite cigars. You should also try the cifuentes by Partagas . These cigars are great with a nice ice cold beer on a hot summer day.
