La Corona

Campana (Torpedo) · 6 × 54 LCCA4

Born in the biggest cigar factory in Cuba at the end of the 19th century, and smoked by just about every world famous dignitary including Fidel Castro himself, La Corona is now made in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras. A traditional Honduran blend pairs Piloto Cubano and Honduran fillers with Connecticut and Ecuador-grown wrappers. Medium in body, solid in construction and a real bargain in price, La Corona continues to thrive.

Satisfactory, but not a repeat purchase

Satisfactory though not a repeat purchase. It delivered on a decent draw and good construction. However the aroma is so-so and the finish is ho-hum. Cannot recommend.

Satisfactory, though I would not look to make ma rebuy. This is the bargain oscuro in the JR lineup. Although it delivers on the fundamentals (draw and construction) it does not deliver the normal oscuro aroma and flavor: the finish is ho-hum. A few $$ more brings the "gold standard" which in my opinion is the Bolivar Cofradia oscuro. The La Corona is two grades below that.
