Las Cabrillas

De Soto · 6.88 × 50 LADE53

(8 Reviews) | Write a review

Packaged in a pack of 5, the De Soto is a tasty Toro from Honduras dressed in a piquant, Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. This medium-bodied handmade combines an all-Mexican blend of long-fillers inside a Mexican binder. Expect a surprisingly zesty smoke with notes of earth, black pepper and sweet cocoa. This popular cigar has a loyal following dating back many years, and we still have a hard time keeping them in stock!

Good smoke

Luvcigars on 04/25/15

I call this my lawn mower smoke cause it is flavorful but no burn if you have to keep it in your mouth for long periods

A very nice consistent smoke

Fidelseyeglasses on 07/06/15

I used to buy boxes of the Las Cabrillas Maduros before JR closed the N.Y.C. store several years ago, they were a great flavorful smoke, decided to try a 5 pack of the De Soto, while I prefer lengths of 5 to 6 at the most, the 'De Soto' is too long at 6.88 for me. However they are just as flavorful as the 'Cortez', burn evenly and were worth the discounted price of the 5 pack. And as always... 3 day shipping from JR is always amazing.

Good Stick

Hammerhead on 08/31/16

I was skeptical about the Mexican filler but the last half of this stick started getting tasty and just kept getting better. I smoke them to the nub! These are a good bargain for the price.

Great Cigar

It was a great cigar, the draw was good and had a great flavor. For the price you can't beet this cigar.

Not a bad cigar.

Rey Xotica on 05/06/16

I wrote a review on the Las Cabrillas Balboa Maduro and I've smoked plenty of the De Soto Naturals and Maduros. My feelings on this cigar are the same as the Balboa. It reflects the overall quality control of the Las Cabrillas label. If you are thinking of trying these or enjoy Las Crabrillas Maduros I would recommend you check out the Santa Clara Maduro. For the same price you get a similar flavored cigar but with no construction problems.

Favorites

Next to "La Unica" Maduro, Las Cabrillas are my favorite! Why don't you run a special on them to reward us regular buyers for our loyalty?

Excellent!

Fidelseyeglasses on 09/18/15

Great smoke. Read my other review of the Las Cabrillas 'Cortez' which applies to this cigar as well. I prefer a shorter (the De Soto is a 6.88 size) which is why the "Cortez' is a better fit for me. Both are a great smoke and a great value.
