JR Alt. - Ashton 40

The 50 ring gauge might be off a gauge or two. It seems thinner than 50 ga, but overall a pretty good smoke. If it were a 54 ga. I would buy again. I give it a 6.8 out of 10.

Not the cigar for me

I was hoping for more. I've had Ashtons, and these don't come close in my opinion. I've smoked cigars since I was fifteen. I've always smoked the inexpensive ones, but wanted to try the premium cigars now that I'm in retirement. So I've been trying different ones hoping to find a cigar I like and can afford. I thought JR alternatives would be the way to go, but not with these cigars I just purchased. The draw was so poor on the one I tried today I had to throw it away. I've had worse cigars that cost more, but I wouldn't buy these again. Still looking for a good cigar I can afford.
