Okay, but not great
This is a good beginners cigar. It's a name that is recognizable and has been around for ages. It is slightly stronger than a straight medium, but that helps the cigar in areas that it lacks flavor. Prominent flavor is standard Dominican spice.
My uncles favorite

Solid cigar at great price - earthy, leathery are the adjectives that come to mind. A very think cap requires a deep punch cut and provides a chewy mouth feel. Sometimes you get a plug but at this price who cares. Unwrap the cellophane and let a couple age - a couple years make these sticks absolutely delicious.
Solid stick for the money!
This cigar is a solid breakfast smoke to me. It pairs nicely with espresso. It has some nice sugary caramel tones as well as an underlying creaminess. There's a hint of pepper on the retrohale. Solid stick.
Earthy and rustic

These seem to be harder to find lately in the retail JR stores, but they are a gem. Rustic looking, they feel like old times before wrappers had to be perfectly smooth. The flavor is earthy and rich. A bargain. Grab at least a five pack, you'll like them.
Not for me

Construction was fine but i did not like the flavor. Too bitter. The may be someone out there who loves this stock, but it was one dimensional and i didn't like that dimension. Too bad it didn't live up to the greatness of its namesake.
Not for the light smoker

These are some very full flavored from the DR. I had one recent while vacationing there. These start out with a pretty strong peppery flavor. Has a dark Connecticut wrapper...not for light smokers.
A tasty medium bodied for a good price.

I've had a few of these, most recently with my father in law last month. I've always loved the woody aroma with fading pepper/spice which never overwhelms. Great stick for the price and always well constructed.

This cigar I will buy again. I had a very nice draw and very even burn. The cigar had a nice ash. The flavor was a little mild but decent. I prefer more flavor in a cigar but this one got the job done. I would recommend this cigar to someone to wants a mild nice burning cigar.
a salty treat

These are odd little cigars. They look like complete rubbish, and I imagine the packers just throwing handfuls in to fill the box. Some are bent and gnarly looking with a lot of inconsistency. With that said, I think everyone should try these out at least once. They are cheap and have an interesting profile that you will not find in any other cigar. Its like eating an earthy mushroom while surrounded by salty sea air.
A good cigar

There is nothing special about this stick. It is good. Not great and not bad. It is spicy and full bodied. If a full flavored cigar is your preference then this is the equivalent to Coca-Cola. A good taste but nothing surprising.
Slow burn on 06/14/15
The draw on this particular cigar was very smooth, almost a little too easy. I feel that this quality made for a slightly abbreviated smoke (burning a little faster than I usually prefer). The flavor was almost a little sweet. Great cigar all in all.
Wouldn't try again

This cigar is the epitome of a yard gar. I wouldn't even bother smoking one if it was given to me. The price point is way to high for such a boring cigar. Had burn issues with it. Had to touch up multiple times.
Earthy taste, rustic wrapper, great bargain

Not a very pretty looking cigar, some thick, rustic looking veins prominently showing. That being said, it is a easy cigar to smoke in a medium body range, at a bargain price. I didn't particularly enjoy it, but I can't say my time was wasted either. Consistent profile all the way though
