Mild to medium in flavor great construction the flavors are also consistent throughout as well ad from cigar to cigar you know what your going to get when you pick up the griffins heavy in the hand nice slow burn buy and enjoy
This is an excellent mild cigar that I don't mind handing out. Might be a good morning cigar for those that enjoy a cigar with their coffee. There isn't anything bad with these, just nothing stunning in terms of flavor.
The griffins is a great budget alternative to a daviddoff. Now dont mistake me you wont be getting a davdoff light. The cigar stands on its own 2 feet and delivers the goodness you expect. Hay and cedar flavors are about. The draw and construction are spot on. You will love this cigar

Have had many Griffins over the years. Overall it is a good quality 6 dollar stick. More often than not it is a fine cigar. Seems about 1 of 5 tastes like a wet pile of hay though. 80 percent isnt bad for QC from my experience with a sub 10 dollar cigar.
A beautiful smoke!

This is one beautiful smoke! I enjoy milder cigars in the morning and weekends, and this one is by far my favorite. The Griffins has a consistency between sticks that's wonderful. The taste is fantastic! Cedar, oak, a little smokiness, and all in a mild tone. It's one seriously smooth cigar. I highly recommend it.
Work not pleasure

This smoke is not bad but about what one would expect if your not looking for a lot of flavor but a good steady smoke over a beeper or two. I like this stick for when I'm active around the house knocking out the honey do list or just drinking a cold beer while grilling. If you're looking for that great wow smoke after dinner, or to impress a friend not the stick you want, but that's not to say a friend wouldn't appreciate it at a BBQ or tailgate party.
Excellent smoke for a casual smoker

A little too light on the flavor for me but it did have a nice almond taste about half way. Construction and draw were nearly perfect, no touch ups or need to relight. I would recommend giving one of these to a friend who doesn't smoke often.
good but not consistent

Good mild to medium smoke. Starts off with good pepper and mellows out to a smooth creamy wood. Had several and a couple had burn issues and tight draw. Would give higher rating if they were more consistent.
I am sorry but not a fan. It was a nice burning cigar and all but taste was not there. Not that it tasted bad it just didn't taste like anything but smoke. It started to fall apart half way through as I was hoping it would get better. Hope your experience is better than mine.

I love this cigar!! It's on the milder side but has a smooth creamy flavor. It's got a great draw and construction. This is one of those cigars that will hold up if your one of those guys that would rather cross cut than cut the tip. All together nice smoke for the money.

The Griffins series, and this 500, is what I would call a consistent 'Nice' smoke. The medium profile delivers a generally mellow flavor of lightly roasted nuts, some minor wood undertones of oak. A great pairing to a light ale.

Valley, A Dominican binder along with a Connecticut shade grown or spicy maduro wrapper. Flavor wise, this gem is medium in body with a bit of a kick that offers the smoker bursts of enticing flavor, and an aroma that fills the room with sweet tobacco goodness.

I see it as a solid box purchase in two cases: either you enjoy mild connecticuts with your morning coffee on a daily basis or you often have non-regular cigar smokers coming over for dinner/drink. In this latter case the Griffin's No. 500 appears to me like a very good cigar to offer to your guests.
