For me an hour and then smoke would be good enough

Phillyredd on 12/28/16

I see the good reason why they call this cigar The Dark Knight by the color of the wrapper and the cold draw you will expect nothing but deep rich flavors. The one I tried did not really live up to my expectations. I found it an enjoyable cigar there was an issue with the burn I had to keep relighting it so I don't know if that was a construction issue. But when I did get it to burn by the second third it turned out to be a decent cigar. Not too full knot to mile I wouldn't call this or have this as a daily smoker but this is something that I would enjoy now and then.

Great maduro wrapper that adds some sweetness to a great blend. Perfect draw and construction

Smooth with a subtle sweetness

Dr FHH on 01/16/17

Nice overall cigar. The maduro wrapper leads to a nice subtle sweetness. Not too strong and easy to smoke. I prefer a longer cigar. Just my preference. Nice nutty flavor profile with a nice amount of pepper.

The hoyo de Monterey Excalibur dark Knight is a good quality smoke for the price. Lots of earthy notes to it.

Super Value, Great Tasting Cigar

Brian P on 09/17/17

Excalibur is a favorite. The flavor is sweet and the aroma is a wonderful bouquet. Sometimes not the most beautiful wrapper because of some veins, but to be expected with the maduro wrapper. Ash on some get loose but for the money it is a great cigar

Good rich cigar

AJ on 12/28/16

This cigar has a lot of maduro broadleaf in it and it comes through in the flavor and body. Thick, rich, with coffee notes and a bit of spice. A great smoke.

Sweeter the berry!!

Bjewell on 09/06/16

I bought a 5 pack of these a few years back and forgot about them in my humidor. They aged better than I had ever expected. Beautiful leather touch. Ash was on the money with a medium blend touch of sweet cedar finish. FYI- let them age.

Unwrapped :(

ErrlyBurd on 08/27/17

The flavor was good but my rapper started coming undone halfway through and somewhat ruins the experience. I'm not sure if it was only this one because it was the only one I smoked but the problem worsened as I continue to smoke. I would give it another try because I did enjoy the flavor

Best of Excalibur and Frank

Matsumura on 06/26/16

Dark knight Excalibur is the best of the Excalibur line period I like it better than the more modern Laneza 1961 which are both his I believe

Good

Toasting the foot to make sure you get a good even burn gives off the smell of a good cigar. Smoking it makes you enjoy it

Just ok Hoya

Chris Flood on 03/16/16

These are slightly better than the rest, based in size. Flavor is lacking and the rest of it just underwhelms.

In my humble opinion all of the Excalibur cigars are great cigars. Any cigar smoker would love this line.

General Cigars does it again!

Country Smoker on 02/21/16

This is just another run of the mill cigar from General. Still experiencing too much acidity and a mild hint of ammonia at the first third. To reference another General brand cigar made in Honduras, I hope this is just another slow starter like the Bolivar Cofradia. I'm just tired of wasting my money trying different cigars and being disappointed with the majority that I get a chance to smoke.
