the search for a decent cheap cigar

the Bayonne cigar oracle on 02/08/16

I've smoked 'em all over the last 50 odd years. From the cheapest cigarillo's to the finest Habanos's. I'm always searching for a decent, inexpensive smoke. For now, I've found The Dutch Masters corona de luxe. Nice draw, decent construction, pleasant flavor, and very consistent. Plus, a natural wrapper, for me, that's important. I think part of the appeal of the old timey brands is a wish to go back to a simpler time, before all the hundreds of choices we now have, new brands and multiple extensions of familiar brands that only make my head spin. The same thing has happened with beer. With thousands of new brands, good ol' Pabst Blue Ribbon is more popular than ever. My advice, Smoke a Dutch Masters unflavored, and get a window into what our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers experienced. you might be surprised!

Great Everyday Cigar

cigarguy on 02/08/16

Great cigar if you want a casual smoke once or twice a day without breaking the bank. Definitely a step up from most inexpensive drug store type cigars. Save the $10+ cigars for special occasions.

mild slow burning cigar with a tight draw. not much flavor but ok for a machine made brand. the cigar itself has a soft feel to it. not as firm as other cigars. smoke time about 70 minutes.
