Amazing Flavor. Inconsistent Build Quality.

Great Tasting Cigar. When you get a good easy drawing one from the box it is a 5 star smoke. Unfortunately, the construction consistency is missing. I have orded 4 boxes now and across all 4 boxes this has been true. I wish they have more experienced rollers. 2 or 3 per box will be completely plugged and un-smokeable. 4-5 will have uncomfortably very tight draws. But the rest are fantastic.

Overall good smoke
BigMikee71 on 12/19/15
At first I was a little disappointed as the first few minutes were very one note and a bit harsh. As I burned through the first third it got more complex and by the halfway point it was truly excellent. Flavors developed very well and was impressed with the good volume of smoke.

Good but needs time.

IMO the robusto has so much more flavor and transitions. For this stick the draw was perfect all way down to the nub. 2 touch ups on the stick but no big deal. Contruction had little to no tooth and slight vein so construction was well done. For me the flavor was lacking. There was a prominent floral to wood flavor throughout that tended to get a bit annoying after a while. I would have loved for this stick to change up on flavor. Overall I think if we let these mature a bit longer in a well seasoned humidor we may be a bit more surprised at what this stick has to offer. I will give it another go in a few more months.

Black market torpedo

There is something aromatic about this cigar that doesn't exactly meld with my palate. It's got nice wood and nut notes, but there's this herbal floweryness to it that I can't fully describe that I'm not a fan of. It's mild to medium bodied and strength with some peppery spice that lingers.

When I saw a deal on these I jumped even though I've only smoked one before. I was not disappointed. Excellent burn and construction. Aromas of wood smoke. Nice spice without the white pepper which frankly I am a bit tired of. Instead the spice is understated, slightly sweet. A bit of burnt sugar. It works. Draw is a little tight without being a chore to smoke. Four and one-half stars seems about right. Definitely worth the JR price and a no brainer if you catch a sale. I must say, I have only had one AB smoke that I didn't like, but... some of his smokes made me see stars in terms of strength. Pick up a five pack or ten and try these.

Not a huge fan of torpedos unless its poker night or playing golf simply because of how long they last. Dont get me wrong, the draw is exceptional and the burn is near perfect. I dont always have 3 hrs to kill though
