great

on 04/15/15

This stick delivers quality at a great pricy. Earth and leather notes compliment a great vitola. Will keep these stocked up

Aurora Corojo

on 04/13/15

Prominent notes of leather, cedar and tobacco. Burn was great and the price is even better. This stick is well constructed as well.

Flavor abounds

on 04/13/15

This one surprised me. This is the first stick that I've gotten those hints of licorice I've read about in other reviews. It is very subtle in the first two thirds, but is clear as day in the final third with an excellent touch of pepper.

70% superb, 30% ok

evan c on 03/26/15

Delicious but construction is inconsistent; the good ones are superb. Overall a bargain

Decent stick

on 04/14/15

This was a solidly constructed stick but I was not blown away by the flavors. I have heard the Lance has much better flavors than this vitola so maybe I will give it another go.

Tasty inexpensive cigar!

on 04/15/15

This cigar is comprised flavor wise of primarily earth, spice, leather, and underlying raisin flavors. I would happily smoke this again.

Durable

on 04/15/15

This is a very durable cigar, it never fell apart and had a great draw to it as well. Besides that it's a solid smoke

ok, nothing special

on 04/16/15

Bought a 10 pack a while back because the Cameroon in the same size is so good and I wanted a little more pep. constructed well with no draw issues. the flavor was a bit woody and one dimensional.not near the pepper I expected. I also got two duds in the batch that did not draw well. Overall not terrible and a decent price.

La aurora is a fantastic Dominican smoke. It's sweet and smooth with a hint of a nice peppery spice. Great smoke for the price

Pure delite

No expert on 06/25/15

This is one of my favorite smokes. I have said before I love a Maduro but appreciate a fine full bodied smoke and this is top notch. Very consistent in every way flavor, draw and construction. This smoke allows one to sit back, relax and enjoy it's excellance.

Great draw. Great taste some peppery spices with a hint of cinnamon. A medium bodied smoke that I throughly enjoyed.

ok cigar

on 04/13/15

Once lit the cigar has a slight spice to it, as well as notes of cedar and a slight raisin. Through the nose the cigar a nice spice to it that heightens some cinnamon notes as the cigar enters the second third. The second third has some aforementioned notes of cinnamon but is also joined by a nuttiness and continued cedar. As the approach the final third of the cigar the notes remain of cedar and spice with an occasional wisp of cinnamon.

Average at best

Ben S. on 06/18/15

This cigar leaves a little to be desired. Lacks that kick of flavor. I find it easy to put this cigar down and forget about it. It draws well, burns well, and smokes okay. I prefer a more flavorful taste and this doesn't offer that. This cigar tastes like hundreds of others. I would not be able to pick this cigar out in a taste test..

A bunch of bunch.

OttoDaOrange on 05/19/15

This cigar has quality leaf and good favor but very poor roller. The entire box had a bunch about 3/4 of the way from the lit end and needed relighting often. After smoking about 1/2 dozen, I considered throwing them out but decided to use an ice pick from both ends after removing the labels, where the bunch is. This improved the smoking experience considerably.

This cigar was really a surprise. I bought it and didn't really have high expectations but it was really great for the price. Good draw, very pleasant flavor and the cigars were built very well

Great

Dhawk24 on 06/05/15

An oily, well-fermented Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper hugs a rich blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers, producing a medium-bodied smoke that's layered with notes of earth, spices, cedar, and a hint of raisin on the finish.

A great Corojo

Jason G. on 06/11/15

If you like a great Corojo then give this a try. Draw was a little tight but quickly opened up. A overall great cigar and the only negative was the size

Not you father's La Aurora

Smittyz on 06/09/15

First off, this isn't the mild-mannered La Aurora I'm used to smoking. This packs a punch while still being a smooth, enjoyable cigar. Highly recommended

La Aurora

The La Aurora lines are probably the best dominican cigars on the market. Old school cuban family!!!

A keeper

Slow burn on 06/28/15

Smoked this cigar some time ago for my high school graduation. It was a cigar that as far as construction goes, was forgiving to my inexperienced lighting abilities. It smoked very well despite a horrible cut and somehow worse lighting. A durable and flavorful cigar.

This big Dominican cigar has some spice for a medium to mild cigar. Its construction is good and burn was okay. Its taste is good but it could use some more flavor

D_Smoke on 06/12/15

This stick wasn't anything special but it is a great buy. A friend gave me a few and told me how much he hit them for. It is mild but has decent flavor especially toward the end.

Picturesque

Big Ragoo on 06/25/15

La Aurora double corona was a real treat of a cigar. I was handed this cigar from my brothers friend he was passing them out at his parents 50 th anniversary BBQ bash. Everyone complimented the cigar which was a real treat. They choose this particular cigar to honor the city in which they first meet Aurora, Colorado among the picturesque back drop of high white capped snow mountains and gently running streams stocked with tilapia and octopus.

I have only smoked this cigar one time, and just based on my first experience it was not a bad cigar, it's not one that I would run and fill my humidor up with though.

Good but too long

Meat on 06/07/15

Beautiful wrapper. The corojo doesn't disappoint! The only thing that I don't like is the length of the cigar. It will take you at least 90 minutes for you to enjoy the whole stick.

Possible dud - tight draw.

Cheme_cigar on 06/16/15

Great flavor, but I may have found a dud. This cigar had one of the tightest draws I've ever smoked. I would like to try another since the flavors were strong and pleasant.

Good taste, bad presentation

MikeRotchHertz on 06/16/15

I am always a big LA Aurora fan of all their cigars. This one leaves something to be desired, but not a disappointment. The construction is kind of lackluster for them, but the taste makes up for it. Has a good cedar and spicy taste to it. Good draw.

Great everyday smoke

on 04/16/15

This is a great cigar to smoke daily. It's a big cigar so make sure you have the time, but it is consistent and won't steer you wrong. This cigar is peppery, nutty, leathery, and cedary. That's a lot of "y". The new packaging these cigars have is great to differentiate themselves from the original La Aurora line. The ash is a great charcoal color. It's definitely a stick that I could see Myself smoking everyday.
