Straight talk on the Curly Head

bphilb on 07/01/15

There is not a more consistently good cigar on the market. Each stick has a great draw with lots of smoke. They never canoe. AND they are delicious.

Long live Curly

James on 03/10/16

The Curly Head might be the Fuente cast-off stepchild, but I find it a most satisfying smoke. I've smoked most of the Fuente offerings, from Hemingways to Spanish Lonsdales, and the only one I can compare with the Curly Head is the Fuente 8-5-8.

Great smoke

dickc on 10/06/15

Love the flavor and have been smoking them for about 2 years. They are mild and smoke well. Consistent cigar to cigar and box to box.

Not for Snobs!

GiantsMetsOregon on 08/06/15

On summer evenings, I sit outside and listen to baseball on the radio. It's soothing. This cigar completes the picture. This is not a super complex smoke. It is however, mild and tasty. It's got a great burn and is never ever harsh. The flavor is light at first and improves as the cigar is smoked, becoming toasty and nutty at the end. I've been smoking the Curly Head for many years. It's consistent, relaxing, and an exceptional value.

Get what you pay for

Smoked on 01/13/16

The stick at hand here has more flavor thanks to the darkness of the wrapper the construction was good but remember that you get what you pay for

A little more punch than the unbanded

Bee's Knees on 12/21/15

The deluxe, especially the maduro packs a little more punch than the unbanded curly heads. Nice flavor for the price. Great for having friends over and giving a bunch out.

The Maduro variation of the curly head is a tasty bargain stick done perfectly by the folks over at Fuente.

Good flavor

AJ on 04/25/16

This is Fuente's value line. Construction isn't great - as I write this I'm smoking one that has gaps in the wrapper that I have to cover with my fingers to make it draw properly. But the flavor is quite good. Just what you want from a mild flavor maduro. Smooth, nutty, earthy, warm flavors. Very subtle spice notes. Creamy chocolate that really comes through in the retrohale. Not particularly complex, not as good as the 8-5-8, but for the price you can't beat it.

My new favorite

arloe on 10/20/15

Delicious. Great construction and draw. Beautiful crowning in the burn for a mixed filler stick. Wrapper often has non-uniform color and large veins, but who cares for $2.75 apiece. Not too harsh on the relight. My new everyday smoke.

Why do they call them Curley heads?

Pelukas on 10/19/15

A reasonably priced pretty good cigar. Never too tightly rolled and doesn't fall apart. Doesn't taste bitter until there is about an inch left.

Go to cigar

Jay on 04/15/16

This is my go to cigar when golfing. Can't beat the price, and it's not overly strong, it's just right.

A great everyday cigar

Lajos on 09/11/15

The Fuente curly head deluxe is my everyday cigar. I have smoked both kinds of curly head deluxe and both varieties are excellent. I will be ordering these again.

Great cigar for the price. Consistent taste and burn all the way through. A little light for me but still a good cigar.

Good for the Price

NobodysFool on 11/28/15

The maduros are actually quite enjoyable, not as smooth or complex as other Fuentes, but a good smoke for the price.
