Alec Bradley Nica Puro
Gordo · 6.25 × 60 ABNPG
Alan Rubin continues to hone his craft and evolve with the times, as evident with his release of the Nica Puro, his first cigar that is manufactured completely from Nicaraguan tobacco and binder. Yeah, Yeah, I know exactly what you're thinking... usually the first thing that comes to mind when you see “Nicaraguan Puro" is the word "strong". Don't let the dark oily wrapper fool you, because Alec Bradley's "Nica Puro" blows that thinking away!
The Alec Bradley Nico Puro, medium-bodied cigar has a surprisingly clean draw accompanied by a savory flavor full of pepper, roasted nuts, coffee and wood. The creamy smoke brilliantly complements those delicious notes throughout your entire smoking experience for a well-balanced combination. It never falters. Despite the flavor becoming a bit fuller as the cigar continues to burn, the body remains an ideal medium – making the Alec Bradley Nico Puro perfect for all occasions and experience levels.
To best match your size and shape preference, choose between the Alec Bradley Nica Puro Rubusto, Churchill, Gordo or Toro.

Up until this cigar I was a really big Alec Bradley fan. I had high hopes for this cigar. The flavor just wasn't there. I really wanted to like this one but I couldn't with the lack of flavor. I'll give it a second chance some day.
Best Alec Bradley Offering in Awhile
I haven't been in love with AB offerings in awhile, but I actually enjoy this. A creamy beginning leads to pepper, wood and coffee throughout. I could smoke this cigar at any point in the day and enjoy it.

Pretty good reasonably priced.
Both times I've smoked this it has had a very tight draw and has gone out a few times during smoking. I would imagine it may be from now dry boxing enough but not sure. It is a medium to full flavored cigar with medium tobacco. Another good, reasonably priced stick.
AB Nica Puro
Absolutely love this cigar. Notes of earthy leather and nuts, cedar, coffee with hints of chocolate and just enough pepper to let you know you aren't smoking something mild. Nice construction with a good draw and lots of meaty smoke. If you enjoy a good Nicaraguan you shouldn't skip this one.

This cigar had the typical elements of a Nicaraguan puro, mostly because that's exactly what it is! Had a slight unravelling of the wrapper as the burn progressed but it fixed itself after about 15 minutes. Not too strong but has a nice flavor/body
So so experience with the Nica Puro

Big fan of Alex Bradley and was excited to smoke the nica puro but I could not get this cigar to stay lit or draw consistently. Had brief moments of awesome leather and pepper taste but most was hard to smoke. Would maybe try again if in a sampler.

Very solid construction with great smoke output! The flavors were great and changed throughout the smoke keeping it interesting. Starting with pepper then turning into code and wood flavors as the smoke progressed. Very good cigar!
