Torpedo Marked this one down on construction and flavor only because the tobacco is young. Give these sticks a couple months stay in your humidor and not only does the flavor mellow out but the construction is a little more sturdy as well. 3 5 1
Torpedo VERY green and about 1/3 of them had rapper damage to the point to where you couldn't smoke them. If you are okay with throwing 1/3 of them out and letting the rest sit in your humidor for a few months to mellow out then you may like them. 2 5 1

Torpedo I have been purchasing the 1876 Torpedo for many years before JR offered. It was the best highest quality low cost cigar I ever found. Unfortunately over the years this cigar has had ups and downs. The Original wrapper was more like the select version with a red band. But this is a smaller ring size. Also the CT wrapper on these now is about 5 shades darker than any picture shown on line. I will still buy not the 50 plus per month I used to buy. 3 5 1
Torpedo I ordered two bundles of the "Red Label" torpedo only because the "price was right". I smoked five, each one with a tougher draw than the first. I actually dissected the last two; the fillers were wrapped too tight. I had to relight the thing five times before I threw it away. I have a headache, as we speak, and I'm waiting for JR to get on the line; I want to send these back. In all the years I've been buying from JR, I think this is only the second time I was not satisfied. As I always say, "you get what you pay for"... 2 5 1
