This limited-edition collection was created to commemorate the beloved Montecristo brand's 75th year in production as one of the world's finest cigar makers. Some of those years were spent in Cuba where this cigar brand first originated in 1935. In the early 1960's Fidel Castro's communist government took over Montecristo, along with the rest of the Cuban cigar industry. As a result the owners of Montecristo, Alonso Menendez and Pepe Garcia fled Cuba, and eventually ended up in the Dominican Republic where today's Montecristo are produced.
The Montecristo 75th Aniversario is a rich, full blend featuring lots of subtle sweet notes that meld well with each other and with the hand-selected Ecuador Cubano wrapper leaf. The combination creates a very engaging smoke that slowly builds in body and character with each near-perfect draw.
Another must try smoke from your favorite cigar brand.
