Coffee and cigars, what a great combination! Now add some chocolate with subtle hints of vanilla and a little spice—mmm even better. Just talking about the flavors makes me want to light one up. These unique, aromatic Nicaraguans were created by Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate and Rocky Patel. The first thing you’ll notice about these is the aroma. If you close your eyes and inhale deeply, you’ll swear you’re in your favorite coffee shop. This is a gorgeous square pressed cigar that almost looks seamless. They come wrapped in either an oily dark chocolaty brown Brazilian Mata Fina or light caramel brown Ecuador Connecticut latte wrapper. The filler is a blend of tasty Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos that are infused with cocoa and espresso beans. You’ll also notice a faint sweet cedar aroma from them being aged in Spanish cedar.
Once you cut your Java and take a pre-light draw you’ll be rewarded with a sweet coffee and cocoa flavor, so good I might add that you might be tempted to take a bite. These burn perfectly with a nice easy draw producing large volumes of smoke. The delicious aromatic smoke is loaded with decadent flavors of mocha, coffee, and vanilla. Some have even described these as, “smoking dessert”. That’s actually a pretty good description. You get all the flavor without the calories, fat or even carbs. Hmm, I might have to skip a few real desserts myself and smoke these instead. Who knows, this could be the next great diet. “Skip dessert and smoke a Java,” or “Enjoy all the flavor without the fat.” I might have to have my people talk to their people…I’ll even do the before and after pictures. lol
