Weekly Cigar Roundup: Bellows, Bevels, and Pillows

November 4, 2019

On this episode of Weekly Cigar Roundup, Nick runs down his cigars he smoked for the week while Anthony figures out Nick’s newest adjectives to describe his cigar experience.

Nick started his week off with the Le Careme Belicoso Fino 2019 by Crowned Heads.  Using a stunning Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Ecuador Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan fillers, this dark chocolate & spicy cigar is fantastic smoke for any day of the week.

On Tuesday, Nick smoked the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Connecticut.  This cigar was just rated a 93 on Halfwheel and is a fan favorite in the office.  This cigar is creamy, spicy and toasty.  This is not your grandfather’s Connecticut as the strength is a medium to full power.

Nick’s Wednesday cigar is the Oliva Serie V. This cigar can’t stay off the Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 and you haven’t smoked you will understand why.  Using a Sun-Grown Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan Binder and Jalapa Vally Ligero fillers, this full-bodied smoke packs a punch with strength and flavor.

Nick lit up another Limited Edition Cigar on Thursday.  He smoked the Black Label Trading Company Bishops Blend.  This full-powered cigar shows off how strong Pennslyvania Tobaccos can be.  With flavor notes of spice, leather, and espresso this cigar is one you don’t want to smoke on an empty stomach.

On Friday, Nick went something on the mellow side with the Montecristo White Series.  One of Montecristo’s best sellers, the White Series displays a beautiful Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

Back on the full power train, Nick smoked the Southern Draw Jacobs Ladder Brimstone.  This cigar a sequel to the Jacobs Ladder and is stronger than the original.  Manufactured by AJ Fernandez, this cigar comes in one side and was made in limited quantities.  Make sure you get your hand on this right away!

On Sunday, Nick smoked Drew Estate’s Liga Privada Unico Serie Velvet Rat. Using another Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Brazilian Mata Fina binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras, this medium to full body cigar is in a beautiful size and smokes perfectly.  Go get yourself a box of 10 today!
