On this week’s episode of the Long Ash Podcast/Virtual Her, we welcome the owner of Alec Bradley Cigars, Mr. Alan Rubin. He calls in from Florida to catch up with our very own Nick Libretti.

To start things off, Nick and Alan discuss the latest news coming out of congress. The FDA and Cigar Industry have been having a long battle over premium cigars. Alan gives great insight as to what he thinks about the whole situation.

Next, Nick asked Alan what are the similarities and differences of the cigar industry now and when he first started a few decades ago. Alan gives a lot of credit and love to Lew Rothman, founder of JR Cigars. Rothman gave Rubin his first start and his first chance to really thrive and break into the cigar industry.
