What is a Dutch Auction?

A JR Cigar Dutch Auction is a great way to save money when buying in bulk. The auction is divided into two parts, which are the same, but have different timings.

There are weekly auctions, which last seven days and daily auctions that last 15 hours. There are five packs, ten packs and boxes of singles available for you to bid on.

Do I need a JR Cigar account to make a bid?

Yes, you must have a JR Cigar account to make a bid. Once you have signed in to our action site, you are able to get cracking and start bidding!

How do I make a bid on a Dutch Auction?

It’s really simple to make a bid on a Dutch Auction. Once you have found the product you’re interested in, you just need to type in your bid, e.g. $26 and pick how many packs you’d like to have for that price.

How is the winner of an auction decided?

The winner of the auction is decided by a system that picks winners based on bid numbers and the amount someone is willing to purchase for that number. Alongside this, the winner is based on the availability of the product.

How do I know if I win on an auction?

If you win on an auction, you will be notified by our email and on your JR Cigar account.

How do I make the most of a Dutch Auction?

To make the most of a cigar Dutch Auction, you should bid on products that you already know you enjoy as you will be buying them in bulk. It is a great way to buy multiple boxes of cigars for a much lower price.

Are there other kinds of auctions on the JR Cigar site?

Here at JR Cigars, we have four types of auctions you can take part in.

We have the Free Fall Auction which starts every day at 12 AM, 6 AM, 12 PM and 6 PM, the Classic Auction which run for three days, the Rapid Fire Auction which give you quick chances to save, and of course, our Dutch Auctions as discussed above.
