The Padron family reserve is a line that truly showcases some of Padrons best work. In celebrating the 85th birthday of the man who started it all, Jose O. Padron, the 85 year family reserve pulls out all the stops to create a cigar worth of bearing Jose’s full name. The maduro 85 year is probably our favorite here at the Blending Room, though this is a difficult statement to say since the whole line is a magnificent work of art.

These medium-body delights are absolutely spectacular from their velvety complex flavors of chocolate, leather, and oak to their stunning banding and flawlessly wrapped soft box pressed look. Being awarded in the top ten cigar of the year by Cigar Afficionado since 2005, this gem is no joke and should be smoked with pride.

The Padro series 2000 is special in so many ways but what makes this so different from many other Padron’s on the market is how it embodies the style of a Cuban from its Cuban-seed tobaccos to its simplistic banding hitting on so many levels that it could easily be mistaken for one.

Receiving a 90 rating from Cigar Aficionado, this Nicaraguan Puro is truly a delight. The Top Five Padrons should be sold in a 5-pack.

First time I tired a Padron 1964 Anniversary Series was during a business retreat in San Diego. It was the 2nd night of the 4 day event. I was stressed out being gone from work, but as I sat all alone looking out at Coronado bay I enjoyed the complex perfect burning cigar for around an hour I felt at peace.

A five pack would sell well!

A friend of mine said he would go 50-50 with me on some nicer cigars, and would trust me to pick them out and bring them overseas to him. This review and video was perfectly timed and I ended up picking up three of the five cigars you discussed here (2nd, 4th, 5th in the video). Thanks so much for making me seem like the aficionado that I am not, yet.
