Top 5 Limited Edition Cigars Part II

September 20, 2019

Hello my friends, Nick Libretti here for JRCigars.com. Time for another fantastic top five video. Today we are bringing you a sequel. Today is Top Five Best Limited Edition Cigars, Part II.

Now, who doesn’t love a limited edition? First of all, the tobaccos are usually more rare, meaning they’re either aged more or just harder to find. So you get a little special treat. We’re going to start off today with, this is one of my favorite of yearly, guaranteed to get, kind of limited edition. This is the Crowned Heads Le Careme 2019 in the beautiful Belicoso Fino size, based upon the Bolivar Belicoso Fino, the Cuban. In terms of the shape and size, beautiful cigar, broadleaf wrapper. One of my favorite broadleaves out there. You really get a nice chocolatey cream taste from it. Solid medium body, incredibly flavorful. I can’t talk enough about this cigar. I’ve been posting all about it since it was released this year. One of the best limited editions on the market.

Next up, we have that spicy little snack. This is the Todos Las Dias from my good friend Steve Saka. Here we have the Mas Fuerte thick Lonsdale size. Now, I don’t know the whole story about this. Apparently, it was not a tweak blend, like a tiny bit of a tweak blend in a different size than he initially came out with, and it was an accident in the factory and they accidentally made them, and so he was like, I got like a thousand of these or whatever. I’m just going to release them. And here it is. But still have that signature red chili pepper taste to it. Very robust, smoked, very spicy. I think one of his more spicy offerings, well that remains to be seen with the new triqui traca, but a lot of flavor. Love that oily wrapper and I absolutely love that size, even with the curlicue pigtail up there. But visually the band, the dual bands and that size just fit together very nicely.

Coming up next, we have one of my favorite cigars from Black Label Trading Company. This is the Bishops Blend. One of their yearly releases uses a dark chocolatey Pennsylvania broadleaf. Now I’ve said this a few times, the big difference between the Pennsylvania and the Connecticut, in my mind, Pennsylvania is a little bit darker, a little bit heavier, a little bit smokier, a little more robust. Whereas in Connecticut, you get a little more of a milk chocolatey-ness to it. This is definitely a smokier, dark chocolate, I guess you would say. It’s still similar characteristics but just a little bit more burly. Love the size, love the bands and I love how they made it like a little Bishop’s hat here with this kind of, I don’t know what the hell you would call that. I guess it’s kind of like a Belicoso tip, but it’s not really. A very unique cigar and I think one of their finest products.

So for this next one, this is for those deep cigar nerds. Guys like me, like this, is a deep cut from way back in the album, but that people are going to love. This is the 2017 L’Atelier Cote d’Or. Released as a special release from L’Atelier, which is Pete Johnson from Tatuaje, his kind of like a pet side project, the surrogates and everything. Very special wrapper. This is that special Spiritus Sanctus wrapper that my father created only for this brand. It’s kind of really only Tatuaje and L’Atelier are the ones who use it. It’s like a Pelo d’Oro and I think a Corojo blend or something along those lines. Very unique hybrid tobacco gives it a very unique flavor. It’s incredibly flavorful, very highly rated and very hard to find. There’s not a lot of these floating around anymore, especially from two or three years ago. So really lucky that we got to put these in our packs for this week.

Here we have one of my favorites, I think actually this is solidly my favorite cigar from Drew Estate. This is the Velvet Rat from the Unico Series. Beautiful dark Maduro wrapper. Got that pigtail on there. Again, it’s the thicker Lancero, very similar in size to that thick Lancero… Oh, look, that’s almost right on, maybe another inch or two taller, but I love that kind of thicker Lonsdale size. You still get that immense flavor from the filler and binder and wrapper ratio, but it’s a little thicker, it feels a little better to hold onto and it burns a little longer. But a great cigar. And if you’ve never had a Velvet Rat, I don’t know what you’re waiting for.

My friends, please put in the comments below, what are some of your favorite limited edition cigars, and also you can buy this. This is one of the rarest ones we did, especially because of that L’Atelier, hardly any of them left. So click our link, get the sampler, tell your friends about it. It’s going to be a good time. You’re going to enjoy. You’re going to come back and say, hey, I want more. I’m going to be like, oh, what are you going to do? Limited. Limited edition. It’s in the title. Have a good day.
