I think its human nature for us to desire a “night cap” once dinner is completed. For some of us, it may be ice cream or chocolate. For others it might be a nice scotch on the rocks. Landing in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 10 list in 2019, the Illusione Epernay 10^th Anniversary was created at the Raices Cubanas factory, located in Danli, Honduras. The Epernay 10^th Anniversary was created to highlight the milestone of brand owner Dion Giolito creation of the Epernary series back in 2009. The name Epernary is named after a small town in France’s champagne region.

The Epernary 10^th anniversary is a medium-full bodied smoke that happens to be a Nicaraguan puro as well. What makes this cigar the perfect “after dinner” smoke is the luscious flavor notes you get while smoking the Epernary. This creamy sensation from Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust seems to be a popular item around our offices here at JR. The Sobremesa Brulee is the second installment under the Sobremesa line. This gorgeous smoke was released and debuted at the 2019 IPCPR tradeshow.

Steve Saka of Dunbarton was reluctant at first to create a cigar with a Connecticut Wrapper, but he couldn’t resist and cloaked this beauty in an Ecuador Connecticut Shade Wrapper. While using tobaccos from Mexico for the binder, and tobaccos from Nicaragua for the filler.
