For years, Dominican tobacco was seen as the rightful heir to the full body Cuban throne. It was smooth, of great quality and outstanding flavor. Yet, with the surge of Nicaraguan and Ecuadorian cigars in recent years, Dominican cigars began to loose some of that reputation. With companies such as Padron and My Father making Nicaragua the strong cigar capital of the world, it seemed that Dominicans were now destined to be the mild cigars of old. Yet, there has been resurgence in the Dominican Republic.

Rafael Nodal of Aging Room has made his Dominican brand one of quality, value, and above all strength. Aging Room has received world wide acclaim and have been rated in the top 25 more than once. Rafael was then asked to bring his talents to the worlds largest cigar manufacturer, Altadis. The Grupo de Maestros, the Altadis blending team, was already on track to create a bolder, more intense cigar. The new Romeo by Romeo y Julieta was already a tremendous hit was rated Top 3 cigars of the year when it was launched. Rafael was now asked to bring some of his flair and style to the already successful brand. The result was a Romeo unlike any that have come before.

The Romeo By Romeo y Julieta Aging Room is an absolute Dominican powerhouse. It uses 100% Habano Dominicano tobacco for the wrapper, binder, and filler. Its rich and flavorful, bordering on the medium to full body spectrum. It has a great blast of cedar with a hint of a spice, but nothing too overbearing. The Romeo Aging Room is a true work of art, a collaboration by some of the most revered masters in the industry.
