The Excalibur Forge

February 4, 2016

Throughout the last year, General Cigar has revamped some of its most beloved brands, and with great success. CAO has found itself back in the spotlight, and has even taken third place in Cigar Aficionado’s “Top 25 Cigars of 2015.” Old favorites Bolivar and Ramon Allones feature new blends and packaging, which have become immensely popular. Now, General is tapping its famous Excalibur brand by introducing a brand-new line. And the best part is…you can get it only here at JR Cigar!

Presenting the all-new Excalibur Forge, a powerful medium-to-full-bodied smoke packed with flavors from three different countries. Vintage tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua make it smooth and slow-burning with a little kick. That tobacco is bunched under an exclusive Connecticut Habano binder cultivated only for this cigar. Then, all of that is finished in a dark, oily OSA Viso Sol leaf grown in a field next to a river of pure spring water. That fresh water nurtures the plant making it into a more robust wrapper.

The Forge’s exotic flavors combine to create an outstanding profile that is smooth and nutty with a dark, rich tone with hints of dark chocolate, leather, and coffee, before its final third offers hints of caramel sweetness to the palate.

This new cigar also brings with it a new look. The Forge’s box art is much darker, with an almost Game of Thrones aesthetic. This line’s ring gauges range fall between 50 and 60, giving you more time to enjoy this beauty.

Excalibur has always been a popular name, especially here at JR Cigar. The Excalibur Forge builds on that popularity while presenting the smoker with something exciting and new, though the tobaccos within are all vintage—and some so limited that you’ll never see them in any other product.

If all of this has got your attention, then it’s time to unsheathe Excalibur from the stone by lighting up the new Forge, available only here at JR Cigar.
