The Amazing Lineup of NUB Cigars

December 18, 2015

Created by the famous Oliva Company, The Nub Cigar made its splashing debut in 2008. Considered one of the most innovative cigar concepts, these super- fat little stogies asked the question: What if you could start smoking your cigar right at the point where it has the richest amount of flavor and strength. Short in stature, but huge in flavor these densely packed, slow burning sticks deliver the same gratification as a full sized stogy in approximately half of the time. Smokers took handily to the concept and very quickly, Nub became one of the most popular cigars on the market.

Made in Estelí, Nicaragua with aged Nicaraguan long-filler presented in a variety of wrappers, Oliva’s master blenders observed that cigars fully develop their optimum flavor and strength, at about the 1/3 mark. The challenge was to create a cigar with just the right proportion of tobacco, length, and ring gauge that, when lit, promised to “”open”” the sweet spot immediately and hold it throughout the entire length of the smoke. After numerous trial and error, Oliva finally delivered on the promise, and delivered one of the most requested smokes that also happens to be the first of its kind in over 160 years!

Today, the Nub line consists of the original Nub, the Cain Nub, the flavor infused Nub Café, and the powerful Cain F, a bold and full-bodied Nicaraguan puro.

What started out, as a theory has no turned into an enormously popular lineup of short and stout parejos with a staggering array of wrapper colors, flavors, and strength varieties to accommodate just about every type of smokers needs.
