Don Pepin Cigars – Part 2 – My Father

In 2009, one of the most memorable moments in the Garcia’s life was the opening of My Father Cigars in Nicaragua, also known as the Garcia Family Industrial Park. This sprawling seven-acre complex in Estelí is home to some of the most fertile soil on the planet. Here Jose and his son Jaime Garcia have developed countless blends including the famed My Father line.

Don Pepin Garcia, recognized as “America’s Hottest Cigar Maker” by Cigar Aficionado in 2008, really kept the flames burning with My Father, a line extension expertly crafted by the master and his son Jaime that immediately caught fire with the public.
This super- premium line of handmade cigars comes fashioned using the best leaf from the Garcia family farms along with the finest wrapper, binder and filler tobaccos from several nations.

As a brand extension to the My Father line, made in honor of cigar maker Don “Pepín” García by his son Jaime, Pepín in turn created Le Bijou 1922 (“The Jewel”) for his own dad, who was born in 1922.
These deep, dark beauties contain aged long fillers from Nicaragua that are rolled inside an oily Habano Oscuro wrapper. The combination provides a full-bodied and unique Cuban-style smoke with a sweet fragrant aroma.

A medium-to-full body smoke with intriguing complexity and balance, The My Father La Reloba Seleccion Mexico features a dark San Andres Mexican wrapper, and perfectly aged Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The result is a tasty maduro with notes of earth and pepper, balanced with chocolate and coffee tones.

The original My Father touted as the most popular blend released by the Garcia family, are fashioned using perfectly aged, hand-selected long fillers grown on their famous farm in Estelí, Nicaragua. A gorgeous reddish brown Habano Rosado adds a sweet and spicy kick to this full-bodied Cuban style blend.

Cigar master, Jose “Pepin” Garcia known for his enormously popular full-bodied sticks has released his first mild cigar in the name of My Father Connecticut. A tasty Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper along with meticulously aged Nicaraguan Corojo 99’ binder, and Nicaraguan Habano and Criollo long-fillers, deliver a splendid sweet and velvety flavor with earthy nuances. Although mellower in strength, these smokes are so flavorful that even fans of his fuller bodied lines will find this one extremely satisfying.

My Father La Reloba is a Medium-bodied gem with a stunning Ecuador Habano wrapper and aged Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. This beauty captures Pepin’s signature pepper and spice flavors that makes this brand so popular.

My Father La Antiguedad Cigars feature some of the best hand-selected leaf grown on the García family farms that have been aged for over 3 years. The popular El Centurion is the company’s first limited-edition smoke. Because of the extremely rare corojo wrapper used to create this incarnation, only 800 boxes were crafted. The El Centurion H-2K-CT shows off a gorgeous hybrid sun-grown Habano 2000 wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley. Beneath this fine leaf, rests Nicaraguan-grown Cuban seed Criollo ’98 & Corojo ’99 leaves grown on the Garcia farm and aged for 3 years. Medium to full bodied in strength, Centurion offers a very complex, and well-balanced profile, with top notes of cedar, honey, nuts and cedar.

Flor de las Antillas cigars were fashioned as a tribute to the family’s homeland of Cuba, where their now famous cigar-making heritage began. Presented in all box-pressed sizes, everything from the select Nicaraguan Cuban-seed tobaccos, to the exquisite Nicaraguan sun-grown wrapper leaf are top-quality.
