When people think of Cuban cigars, not many of them think of H.Upmann.  However, those that do know a hidden gem when they see one.  H.Upmann Cuban cigars are among the most sought after for true cigar aficionados, and of those, the fan favorite for a quick smoke is the delicious Half Corona size.  The H.Upmann Half Corona Cuban cigar review might have been one of the shorter reviews we have done, but it was one of the most flavorful as well.

H.Upmann dates back to the mid-1800s when two German brothers moved to Cuba to start their own banking business  They eventually found themselves involved in the growing Cuban cigar business and the H.Upmann brand was born.  The Half Corona is one of their best-selling cigars both for its price and flavor.  The cigar starts out bold with nice nutty and spice notes.  As it continues, the profile transitions into a rich and almost creamy smoke with notes of cocoa and coffee beans.

For a cigar this small, its profile changes quite often and packs a great deal of smoke and flavor into a very small package.  Even with its short stature, it burns nice and slow due to the quality of the tobacco.  Final smoke time was just around an hour, which is immensely impressive for a cigar that is under 4 inches long.
