This medium to full-bodied cigar is produced at Drew Estate and was created to pay homage to Joya De Nicaragua, a premium brand that turned 55 years old in October 2023. Even though Cinco de Cinco translates to “Five out of Five”, it’s safe to say the blend and construction itself hits on all cylinders.

Cloaked in a Mexican San Andres wrapper, the Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco estate-grown Nicaraguan tobacco in the filler and. binder portion of this 6 x 50 Toro. Keeping up with the “five” theme, the filler tobaccos in the Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco have been aged up to five years before being used. Providing a superb smoking experience with each puff.

Flavor notes you may detect in the Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco are cocoa, cinnamon, and dark chocolate. This next cigar featured in our September’s Cigar of the Month box needs no introduction. Being one of the staples in this old Cuban heritage brand, the Montecristo Platinum is the perfect cigar to enjoy while watching some football on a cool, breezy Sunday afternoon.

This 6 x 50 Toro hails from the Dominican Republic all while featuring tobacco from the cigar’s country of origin. Those rich and complex Dominican Republic tobaccos make up the binder and a third of the filler. You can find tobaccos from Peru and Nicaragua that complete the filler, while a sheik-looking San Andres cloaks this classic cigar line.

Once lit, the Montecristo Platinum will give off scrumptious notes of nutmeg, cocoa, hay, and sweet spice similar to cinnamon. This medium to full-bodied cigar was created over twenty years ago to fulfill the demands of a Cubanesque cigar, and the folks over at Montecristo did just that.

For our third cigar featured in September’s Cigar of the Month, we have a cigar from the creative minds of Davidoff. Davidoff created the Zino Platinum-Z Class Series which is led by the full-bodied gem Zino Nicaragua. Hailing from Honduras, Zino Nicaragua is cloaked in a gorgeous Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, while featuring a plethora of tobaccos in the binder and filler.

Bounded by rich Nicaraguan tobaccos, the Zino Nicaragua has well-aged tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic in the filler.

While smoking this 6 x 50 Toro, you’ll get flavor notes of pepper, chocolate, wheat, and cinnamon. The culmination of these tobaccos pairs well with a nice whiskey that can be enjoyed right beside a bonfire on a cool fall evening.
