Being seen as the industry leader, Cigar Aficionado’s publication of these picks is seen as a huge deal to not only manufacturers but to real cigar aficionados who are your everyday smokers who enjoy premium cigars.

We here at JR also like to compile our own list, that you can check out here, to see how in-tune our palettes are to our fellow smokers. Lucky for you many though, many of Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 cigars released can be purchased right here at JR Cigars for great prices.

But for this Top 5, we decided to pick out our favorite picks from Cigar Aficionado Top 25 Cigars for 2022.

Coming in Cigar Aficionado’s number 3 spot for 2022 is the Davidoff Nicaragua Diadema.

Expertly designed to produce showstopping flavors of spice and leather, this rich treat utilizes a volcanic Habano-seed Rosado wrapper for an eye-catching red hue that is unique to the Davidoff line. If you like strength and bold flavors, this Nicaraguan puro is the pick for you.

Now the Diadema shape is a bit rare to come by but we can tell you that the luxury of this cigar is in the refined Nicaraguan tobaccos that Davidoff is known for and nothing balances these tobaccos better than a Robusto size.

Coming in Cigar Aficionado’s number 5 spot for 2022 is the Oliva Serie V Churchill. The V line is an absolute masterpiece. It produces great smoke, great full-bodied flavors of coffee, spice, and chocolate, and works at any time of the day.

This cigar also has some power behind it, especially in this Churchill size, but if that’s your thing and you want a stick that will last you 18 holes on the course or to last you a couple of hours out by the pool, the Oliva Serie V is the stick for you.

Coming in Cigar Aficionado’s number 6 spot for 2022 was the Alec Bradley Black Market. Cigar Aficionado had listed theirs as the Churchill size but we wanted to give some versatility to this pack and decided to go with the Double Robusto that smokes just as great with a similar ring size.

The Ecuaorian Sumatra binder is what I think makes this cigar so enjoyable. Lots of dark flavors of earth, spice, and coffee. As a fan of what Alec Bradly puts out I can say that this one is definitely in my top 3 favorites.

Coming in Cigar Aficionado’s number 7 spot for 2022 was another Churchill that again we went Robusto for to give a bit more variety to this smoke pack, it’s the My Father Le Bijou 1922.

This blend is an homage to blender James Garcia’s father whose early blends were similar to this stick. Full bodied and with great strength, you won’t find a truly nicer cigar with flavors the way My Father blends.

A Habano Oscuro wrapper houses Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos to produce these dark beautiful tret that are hearty and just look absolutely amazing.

Coming in Cigar Aficionado’s number 9 spot for 2022 is a personal favorite, it’s the Romeo y Julieta Reserve Real Nicaragua.

Introduced as a Nicaraguan puro to the famed Romeo Reserve blend, master blenders AJ Fernandez and Rafael Nodal produced an all-around amazing smoke in this artisan cigar.

Delectable flavors of cinnamon, spice, and coffee deliver a rich fulfilling draw that is easy and long lasting. And in the Churchill size, you’ll be set for a couple of hours.
