Of all the premium cigars on the market, some of those that are among aficionado’s favorites would be Nicaraguan cigars. Perhaps one of the reasons that Nicaraguan cigars sport such fan appeal is because the country is situated in an area that is perfect for growing tobacco. Nicaragua has quickly become known for producing some of the best tobaccos in the world. The nutrient rich volcanic soil, paired with the ideal weather conditions, has created some of the most fertile and tastiest leaves on the planet.  All these things considered, choosing the Ten Best Nicaraguan cigars was quite the difficult task, but combining my quarter century in the industry, and having smoked all of them, I feel that I can produce a selection, that if nothing more, can be a great guide in choosing an outstanding smoke from this amazing region.

    That is the size of the cigar. First number is the length and second number is the ring gauge by diameter

    No Padron?! How do you have a top 10 Nicaraguan cigars and no Padron? I’d easily put a Padron 1926 as my #1 Nicaraugan cigar (personal favorite is the Padron 1926 Series 90 maduro). A. Fuente is the top Domincan guy, and Padron is the top Nicaraguan guy. You just can’t have a top 10 Nicaraguan cigars without a Padron.
