The Fabulous Montecristo White Vintage Connecticut Cigars
When the first settlers came to the Connecticut Valley in the early 1600’s, the native population was already growing tobacco! Today, the Connecticut River Valley is home to what many consider the best cigar wrapper leaf in the world. The leaves are grown under giant cheese-cloth tents that filter in the perfect amount of sunlight and humidity. These ideal conditions culminate in leaves renowned for their silky texture, golden appearance and creamy, smooth flavor.
With a rich history dating back to Havana Cuba in 1935, Montecristo has built much of its reputation relying on this highly sought-after New England leaf for many of their illustrious blends. Now they have taken Connecticut tobacco to the next level with the Montecristo White Vintage Connecticut Cigars.
Meticulously handcrafted at the Tabacalera de Garcia factory in the Dominican Republic, these beauties feature a Connecticut shade wrapper from a special 2008-harvest crop that was blessed with ideal growing conditions, making the leaf enormously thick, fragrant, and tasty. A Nicaraguan binder and choice fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Peru were sedulously chosen to complete the recipe.
Visual appeal that starts with its hand-painted box, and the beautifully crafted cigars that lie within, tells you that Altadis has created an exceptional follow-up to its enormously popular Montecristo White Series.
Beyond aesthetics, the company’s expert artisans have created a sophisticated and subtly sweet smoke, offering fragrant and compelling flavors of vanilla, hazelnut, soft spice, and espresso, accented by subtle components of honey and caramel that linger on the palate.
Available in three classic sizes, Double Corona, No. 2 Belicoso, and No. 3, Montecristo White Vintage Connecticut is the result of using aged select leaves to create a sophisticated smoke designed to appeal to all kinds of smokers—especially those with a sweet tooth for Connecticut Shade wrappers.
