Rocky shipping

November 20, 2014

Rocky Patel Decade CameroonEvery year at the trade show, Rocky Patel usually has several new cigars and this year was no exception.  One of the cigars he added to the line was an expansion of his Decade with Decade Cameroon.  They have just started shipping and coming into stores.  There are only three sizes in this line, a Robusto  (5” x 50), a Toro (6” x 52) and a Torpedo(6” x 52).  The blend shows off the Cameroon wrapper with a very clean finish. It uses the normal Decade blend of Nicaraguan filler and  the secret binder but with the different wrapper.  The MSRP for Decade runs from $9.75 to $11.25.

Catch Up

Catch 22The prices for many of Rocky’s cigars (other than the Edge which runs around $5-$6) are certainly in the premium range.  But Rocky realized that is kind of a Catch 22…you want a good cigar but it costs more than some can afford.  So realizing that is an issue, he took his name off the box of his newest arrival, Catch 22 and lowered the price.  Catch 22 is a Rocky cigar, just without his name on it because he wanted to make a value brand.   The wrapper is a Honduran grown Corojo over a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers.  It is a medium-bodied cigar coming in four sizes— Rothchild (4” x 50), Toro (6” x 52), Double Corona ( 7” x 52) and a Sixty (6” x 60).  The MSRP for these range from $4.50 for the Rothschild up to $5.50 for the Sixty.
