Considered by many to be the best of the best, Rocky Patel Vintage cigars are handmade in Honduras and were first introduced in 2003 to appeal to the most discerning cigar connoisseurs. Using the rarest and finest tobaccos harvested from prized vintage years, there’s a blend for every palate. Now, that we’ve wet your whistle, Let’s take a closeup look at all these vintage gems in chronological order.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 cigars provide an incredibly smooth, mellow to medium-bodied flavor profile with captivating notes of caramel, soft spices, cedar, and nuts. The cigars feature a 12-years aged dark Honduran wrapper paired with a Nicaraguan binder and long fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 cigars are handmade with a tantalizing blend of 5-years-aged Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, paired with a dark, oily, vintage ’92 Sumatra wrapper. This beauty from’92 ramps up the strength a bit to provide tantalizing medium body flavors of sweet tobacco, leather, coffee, spice, and caramel.

Another delightful mellow to medium strength offering, Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 cigars use a filler blend of seven-year-aged Nicaraguan and Dominican long-leaf Ligero tobaccos, encased within a silky golden-brown Connecticut wrapper that was also harvested in 1999. This is predominantly a coffee flavored blend backed by toast, some nuttiness, and a buttery smooth sweetness on the finish.

With a little more kick than the other vintage Patel cigars, Rocky turned to a robust blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican long fillers to create the Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 cigars. This recipe also includes a Nicaraguan binder that has been aged for eight years and a toothy and tasty Cameroon wrapper from 2003. Its rich, complex flavors of sweet spice, cedar, and espresso, punctuated with a nutty finish, will appeal to both well-seasoned smokers and those looking to move up a notch or two in strength.

If all this vintage tobacco goodness is too rich for your blood, not too worry, because Rocky has created a vintage line for the budget conscious everyday smoker! Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 Fumas cigars, in affordable 20-count bundles, feature a dark and flavorful blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan covered by a zesty San Andres Mexican wrapper.  This medium to a full-body mix of earth, peppery spice, and cocoa, is sure to delight anyone who has enjoyed previous Rocky Patel Vintage lines but is looking for a top-quality smoke that won’t break the bank.
