Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Cigars

September 24, 2019

In 2018, the Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve cigars marked the return of an enormously popular line that made its debut in 2005. In addition, soon after being released, it was the first Rocky Patel cigar to appear in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 10. In 2012, Olde World Reserve was taken out of the Rocky Patel portfolio due to short supplies of the Costa Rican Maduro wrapper that Rocky needed for his highly sought-after The Edge Maduro brand. However, before it was discontinued,  The Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Maduro Torpedo was Cigar Aficionado’s No. 8 cigar of 2009 with a score of 92 points. This Torpedo is not currently being produced as it was a limited-edition size.

The cigars in this award-winning Maduro blend feature a black and oily Costa Rican wrapper, now joined by a  lighter variety that boasts a stunning reddish-hue Corojo leaf. Both blends feature the finest deeply aged  Nicaraguan tobaccos for the binder and fillers.

Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Corojo cigars are medium to full-bodied in strength and provide a naturally sweet and nutty smoke with robust hints of black pepper. Also medium to full-bodied in strength, the Maduro wrapped Olde World cigars are oozing with delicious dark tobacco flavors of licorice, white pepper, sweet cocoa, and salted caramel.

Both styles are available in the same 5.5 x 54 Robusto, a  6.5 x 52 Toro, and for super-sized stogie lovers,  the Sixty—  a cigar that’s expertly rolled in a very popular 6 x 60  format.

In addition, whichever Olde World Reserve cigar style that you choose, you can count on the top-notch construction, a great burn, and the easy draw that you’ve to expect from every Rocky Patel creation.

To reinforce its historic Medieval theme, Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Cigars are available in affordable cedar boxes of 20 that are adorned with a stunning recreation of an old-world map on the inside of the lid.

If you fancy yourself a true cigar connoisseur, place an order with JR Cigar and let us fill your humidor with these fantastic resurrected smokes from Rocky.
