Like all groundbreaking products, Nub cigars started as a mere idea at the famous Oliva factory in Nicaragua. The highly skilled blenders at Oliva had enough cigar smoking experience between them to know that in most cases, the final third of a cigar provides the very best flavors. They were convinced that with a little ingenuity, and a lot of trial and error, they could capture the perfect essence of this “final third” by cutting the length and expanding the ring gauge to create a short fat cigar that hits the “sweet spot” soon after lighting it up. This experiment quickly came to fruition, because as soon as the first Nub cigars were released to the public, they became wildly popular and changed the way we enjoy premium handmade cigars.
Despite its short length, the Nub burns just as long and slowly as a full-sized Toro or Churchill. In fact, this uniquely shaped cigar successfully captures the flavor and body of the last four, five inches of a traditional cigar all the way through.
Filled with the finest aged Nicaraguan tobaccos, carefully cultivated from Oliva’s massive farm, the standard Nub line is available in four wrapper shades that includes, Maduro, Connecticut, Habano, and Cameroon, all of which perfectly capture the “sweet spot” in various strength and exclusive flavor profiles depending on which wrapper style that you choose.
The latest installment to the series, called Nub Nuance Seasonals, are dessert-style handmade premium cigars made to celebrate the Fall and Winter seasons. Fall Harvest offers warm and inviting flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, and spices in a sweet tobacco profile that will take you back to crisp fall days with every fragrant puff. Winter Blend celebrates the frosty months of winter with warm and inviting notes of dark roast coffee, some leathery components, toasted almonds, and a dash of peppermint to warm the spirit.
