New Cigar Releases for December

Each month, we see more and more new cigars arrive in our warehouse. Some of these were announced way back in July during the tradeshow while others are simply secret releases that just popped up at the last minute. Let’s take a look at the newest cigars that arrived for December.

RoMa Craft Baku

One of the most talked-about cigars at this year’s tradeshow was the RoMa Craft Baka.  This is the first core release from RoMa in quite some time, so it sparked a tremendous amount of interest.  The cigar takes its name from a small tribe that lives in the rainforests of Cameroon, which is quite fitting because this is the first RoMa Craft cigar to use a Cameroon wrapper.

Along with its toothy, reddish wrapper, the cigar is rolled with aged tobaccos that Mike and Skip are keeping close to the vest.  The result, however, is a wonderfully complex, medium-bodied cigar.  Notes of nuts, leather, and cream combined with a slightly sweet and toasty aroma for an intriguing and unique cigar that is sure to have RoMa fans rushing to stock up.

Crowned Heads CHC Reserve XVIII Full Court Press

While this is more of a new size of an existing line, it is so good it merits its own entry.  Jon Huber decided to take his popular CHC reserve blend and craft it into this tremendous box-pressed vitola.

Taking its inspiration from the basketball term, I don’t think I’ve ever liked a box-pressed version of a cigar more than this.  The Mexican, San Andres wrapper is rich and sweet, with a consistency similar to a chocolate bar.

While the original CHC is one of my tops and was included in our Top 25 Cigars of the Year, I think now I’d have to replace it with the Full Court Press.  The blend just works so well in this size.

Boneshaker Tombstone

We are pleased to introduce the third addition to our fan-favorite Boneshaker Series.  The Boneshakers were crafted to offer you the most in everything- the most strength, the most body, and the most flavor, and all for a great, budget-friendly price.  If you loved the first two iterations, you are going to go crazy for the Boneshaker Tombstone.

For the Tombstone, we went to the most talked-about blender in the industry, AJ Fernandez.  He took off running, creating a fierce and flavorful blend with a top-notch combination of aged tobaccos.  An Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro wrapper is draped across Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos, offering you a robust smoke with notes of leather, earth, dark cocoa and a touch of caramel.

CAO Session

Another solid cigar from Ricky Rodriguez and the team over at CAO.  Ricky has done a great job leading CAO into the future with unique and intriguing blends.  While the Amazon Basin or Zocalo offers exotic and unique experiences, the CAO Sessions offers something simpler and refined.

The Session is a great cigar for any occasion, that can be enjoyed by almost any genre of a cigar smoker.  Ricky wanted to create an everyman smoke, and he nailed it.

A rich and flavorful cigar, the Sessions is crafted using a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos along with a stunning Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.  The result is a smooth, creamy and tasty cigar that is sure to tickle the fancy of any cigar smoker.
