My Father Cigars for Singles’ Day

National Singles’ Day is right around the corner.  While the holiday was made famous in China for celebrating single people pride, it has actually become one of the retail world’s biggest shopping days.

Taking the name Singles’ Day literally, we here at JR have put together a solid deal on some of our best single cigars.  This buy-five-get-one-free special includes single cigars from Alec Bradley, Rocky Patel, and My Father.  Let’s look at a few of the My Father cigars that will be available in our Singles’ Day special.

My Father El Centurion Robusto

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, the My Father El Centurion is one of the most underrated Nicaraguan cigars on the market.  It offers up intense flavors, a balanced profile, and near flawless construction.

The El Centurion is crafted under the watchful eye of Don Pepin Garcia.  It uses aged Nicaraguan tobaccos for a smooth yet flavorful core.  What makes this cigar stand out, however, is the rare Sun Grown Criollo 98 wrapper.

The Criollo ’98 offers a unique flavor journey that starts dark and sweet with notes of dark cherries but then transitions to a good amount of spice and pepper.  The Robusto size is available in the special, which is a great short smoke for the incoming cold weather

My Father No.1

This is the cigar that changed the industry.  While Don Pepin Garcia had gained some fame in his work with Tatuaje, it was the first My Father cigar that skyrocketed him and his family to cigar superstardom.  The original My father is still considered the quintessential example of a high-end Nicaraguan cigar.

My Father is hand-rolled at the factory that bears its name, in the heart of Esteli.  Its blend consists of aged Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos grown right on the Garcia family fields.  The wrapper is an exquisite Habano Rosado leaf that has a reddish hue.

Both oily and flavorful, it will give you a deep spice, a bit of citrus, and a dash of sweetness towards the end.  The No.1 size, which is available in our Singles’ Day special, will pack a ton of flavor into a smaller package.

My Father Le Bijou 1922 Churchill

The original My father was blended by Jamie Garcia in honor of his father, Don Pepin.  In this follow up release, Don Pepin created a cigar to honor his father.  In doing so, he blended one of the highest-rated Nicaraguan cigars of all time.

My Father Le Bijou is a dark, rich and incredibly complex cigar.  It uses Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos, but it’s the wrapper that really sets this cigar apart.  The Le Bijou is cloaked in a dark Habano Oscuro wrapper.

This unique wrapper will give you both a dark and rich profile along with tremendous notes of pepper and leather.  While it was the torpedo size that was named the No.1 cigar of the year, my personal favorite has always been the Churchill.  You can enjoy this size and many more high-end single cigars on National Singles’ Day, so make sure to stop by.
