Backwoods Cigars

Smokers love Backwoods Cigars because they’re “a throwback to the days of scruffy stogie-chomping cowboys,” with a variety of flavors to choose from. If you’re on this site because you’re looking for cigar deals or to buy cigars online, read on for an idea of what those flavors are and how many cigars come with your order.

1. Natural or Maduro

First, we can’t talk about a cigar’s flavor without talking about the wrapper it comes in. Wrappers are made from tobacco leaves, which growers often cultivate under different layers of gauze. The degree to which they’re shielded from the sun turns them certain colors. (Less sun: tan or “natural.” More sun: dark or “maduro.”) A cigar cocooned in natural wrappers usually have a light, dry taste. Maduro cigars are generally stronger and more pungent.

2. Flavors

A cigar soaks in a lot of its personality from the wrapper that covers it, as well as from the soil, climate, and temperature of the region in which its tobacco was harvested. But Backwoods Cigars have also developed some distinctive flavors for its line:

  • Russian Cream Backwoods (one of our favorites!)
  • Norge
  • Grape
  • Honey
  • Original
  • Dark Stout
  • Honey Berry
  • Honey Bourbon
  • Sweet Aromatic
  • Black ‘N Sweet Aromatic

With all these options, you might be wondering how they get shipped to you. The choice is yours — pack or box. Here’s the difference between the two:

1. Pack

If you go down the “pack” route, expect to get 8 packs of 5 Backwoods, for 40 cigars total per order.

2. Box

If you opt for a box, you’re getting 24 cigars per box. The flavors that Backwoods offers in boxes, though, narrows to about half of that list above. Your choices are Original, Honey Berry, Russian Cream, Honey Bourbon, and Sweet Aromatic. (Original and Honey Berry come in Maduro wrappers. Honey Bourbon, Russian Cream, and Sweet Aromatic come in Natural.)

With a variety of different flavors available, you can choose exactly what type of night you’ll enjoy while relaxing on your porch, or cleaning your six gun.
