H. Upmann Anejados Cigars: A Cuban Heritage Classic

JR Cigar has a long and proud history of famous cigar manufacturers making private label brands exclusively for us, and the H.Upmann Anejados,  is one of these stellar brands in our highly regarded in-house portfolio.

This H.Upmann offering is the third installment to a series of Cuban-heritage brands that include the Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta Anejados.  All three are reinvented blends that are still produced in Cuba by Habanos, S.A., a government-owned company responsible for manufacturing almost every top brand in the country.

Handmade in the Dominican Republic by Altadis U.S.A., home to many of the most prestigious brands grown outside of Cuba, H.Upmann Anejados cigars are composed of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers, covered by a vintage Corojo 99 binder and a stunning Habana 2000 wrapper.

First cultivated in the late 1990s, the prized  Habana 2000 wrapper is a hybrid cross between Habano seeds and Connecticut seeds, that was painstakingly grown to mimic the unique taste and aroma of a genuine Cuban leaf. Therefore, it was the perfect wrapper choice in creating a premium blend that really captures the essence of its esteemed Cuban counterpart.

Available in three big ring vitolas, H. Upmann Anejados cigars provide a medium to full-bodied smoke that’s oozing with rich flavors of pepper, salted cashews, and wood, complemented by a long-lasting creamy finish. In addition,  a captivating and distinct”Cubanesque”  sweet tobacco aroma will have knowledgeable cigar aficionados thinking that you’re smoking a genuine Habano.

One would imagine that you’d have to pay an arm and a leg for such an incredibly well-made, great tasting artisanal creation, but you’ll be delighted to know that  H.Upmann Anejados cigars boast a surprisingly affordable box of 10 prices!
