Rocky Patel Freedom Maduro Cigar Review

Rocky Patel Freedom Maduro

The Rocky Patel Freedom was released in 2012 where it made its debut at the 2012 PCA (formerly known as IPCPR) Trade Show in Las Vegas. Alongside the Rocky Patel Freedom came the Rocky Patel Freedom Connecticut.

Created for Santa Clara Inc. and us here at JR Cigars, we’re proud to carry a line that stands for something so ambitious, hence the “freedom” moniker. This line was originally created by Rocky himself to represent his efforts to fight for the cigar industry’s freedom against the taxation and regulation of premium cigars.

Now in 2022, the Rocky Patel Freedom line released a Maduro version which we’re reviewing today! This medium-bodied Nicaraguan puro is comprised of tobacco that has been aging for five years, in which it’s cloaked with an oily dark Habano Oscuro wrapper leaf.

Some delicious notes this savory cigar provides are chocolate, earth, roasted nuts, black pepper, and espresso on the backend. When I smoked the Freedom Maduro from Rocky Patel, I paired it alongside a tall glass of Sangria!

The Rocky Patel Freedom Maduro comes in a pack of 5 for $27.50, a pack of 10 for $55.00, and a box of 20 that goes for $99.70. If you break that down, one single stick costs anywhere between $5.00-$5.50 per stick.

If Rocky Patel stands, for one thing, it’s being reasonably priced for his loyal customers. He wants you to enjoy some delicious smokes without breaking the bank and you can tell that with the Rocky Patel Freedom line!
