The Acid cigar brand wasn’t supposed to last 6 months, that’s what experts said. The edgy, infused brand was just a fad that would eventually peter out. Here we are 20 years later and Acid is one of the best selling cigar brands in the world. To celebrate two decades of excellence, Drew Estate is releasing two limited edition Acid products. The first is the Acid 20, a high-end premium infused cigar that is said to be the best of the brand. The second, and in my mind more impressive, is the Acid Kuba Arte, a limited edition blend that not only smokes great but comes in some of the coolest packagings you will ever see.
The Acid Kuba Arte is hand-rolled in Nicaragua at the Drew Estate Factory. It uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over an Indonesian binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar is then infused with Acids signature blend of herbal oils and spices, giving it a rich and creamy flavor with dashes of sweetness and complex flavor.
While the blend is among my favorite Acid has ever produced, it’s the packaging that really makes the Kuba Arte stand alone. The cigars come in one of 7 different water towers. Each tower features artwork designed by one of the top 5 graffiti artists, all based out of Brooklyn. This is a nod to the brands’ origins and the gritty street life they are known to represent.
The Acid Kuba Arte is now available here at JR Cigars and you have your choice of which water tower you’d prefer. Each design is unique and represents the feeling and thought behind the origin of the Acid brand. They are incredibly limited so if you want to join the Acid experience you better hurry.
