Cohiba Connecticut Cigars

Fidel Castro’s signature smoke, Cohiba was introduced in 1966 as Havana’s premier brand that this notorious Communist dictator reserved for himself, or sparingly handed out to only top diplomat’s visiting the country. Starting in 1982, it was offered to the public and quickly became one of the most highly requested brands in the world,  where It retains this legendary status today.

Its famous non-Cuban counterparts were created in 1997 by General Cigar in the Dominican Republic for those that demand rich Cuban style flavors that compare very favorably with the original Havana blend.  In the years that followed, these wildly popular Cohiba Dominican cigars were accompanied by the equally well respected and masterfully rolled  Macassar, Black, and Blue blends.

Then, for the first time ever, the company dispatched their squad of master blenders to the fertile soils of Nicaragua to unveil the much-anticipated Cohiba Nicaragua cigars.

Now, with Cohiba Connecticut Cigars in the brand portfolio, General has released one of its mellowest Cohiba blends to date, starting with fully aged Brazilian and Dominican long-fillers bunched inside a zesty Mexican San Andres binder making the Cohiba Connecticut Cigars the smoothest cohiba cigar.

This recipe has all the makings of a bolder cigar, but by adding a silky golden-brown Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper on top, the result is a mellow to medium-bodied cigar that can be enjoyed by all, while still retaining its signature  “Cubanesque” high-end quality and character.

Available in four big ring vitolas,  all beautifully rolled to Cohiba’s rigid quality control standards, this remarkably slow-burning and highly fragrant cigar produces rich and creamy notes of toast, almonds, sweet cream,  cocoa, and just the perfect touch of spice.

Cohiba Connecticut provides a premium smoking experience that veteran cigar aficionados will look forward to every morning with that first cup of coffee, as well as being a luxurious introduction for the newcomer looking to discover one the most storied and bestselling cigars on the planet!
