CAO Session Cigar Review

A new cigar release from this year’s 2019 IPCPR, the CAO Session is a smoke that is inspired for you and your buddies to gather around, grab a beer, and light up this cigar.

Unlike most CAO cigars that are fabricated in Central America, Session cigars are made in the Dominican Republic in collaboration with Yuri Guillen, factory manager of General Cigar Dominicana. Rick Rodriguez and Guillen worked together in the Dominican Republic 15 years ago.

But Rodriguez eventually went to Estelí, Nicaragua, to oversee the CAO brand operations while Guillen remained in the Dominican Republic. To create these very special CAO Session cigars, Rick and Yuri chose to use a gorgeous, dark, oily, Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, a sturdy Dominican binder, and select filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic that have been aged to perfection.

Adding to its intrigue, Session cigars are the first CAO blend to be made in the Dominican Republic in more than 10 years. This sophisticated recipe of top-quality tobaccos provides the cigar aficionado with an unforgettable medium-bodied cigar that’s smooth and creamy enough for smokers of all experience levels, as was originally intended.
