Aging Room Rare Collection Cigar Review

Aging Room Rare Collection

Rafael Nodal of Tabacalera USA, and long-time collaborator and friend AJ Fernandez are back at it again with another banger. Their collaborative efforts have landed them the number one cigar of the year spot in 2019 for the Quattro Nicaragua. Released in the summer of 2021, we finally got a chance to review and enjoy the Aging Room Rare Collection.

Arriving in limited quantities for the consumer, the Rare Collection is near and dear to Fernandez and Nodal because the two are utilizing the rarest and well-aged tobaccos from a little farm in Esteli called “La Lilia Farm”. This farm is dedicated to Fernandez’s grandmother who raised him in Cuba and pushed him to fulfill a dream and life in growing tobacco as a dream of his.

This medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan puro has exceptional flavor notes such as earth, cedar, leather, coffee, and baking spices. The few times I’ve smoked this gem, I’ve paired both whiskey or bourbon. The woodiness of the liquor really complimented the various notes that flow through the Aging Room Rare Collection.

Available in a 5.50 x 55 “Scherzo”, 4.50 x 52 “Festivo”, and the 6 x 60 “Vivase“. All three sizes come in a box of 10, and are available online and in your local brick and mortar store today!
