Long Ash Podcast Episode #26 with Nick Melillo of Foundation Cigars

Nick Melillo, Owner of Foundation Cigars stopped by to visit his old pal Nick Libretti and new friend Greg Waters on this week’s episode of the Long Ash Podcast.

Each one of Nick Melillo’s cigars pays homage to his love for history. Being a history buff, Nick Melillo felt that it was important to go the extra mile to combine his two loves throughout his portfolio. Nick grew up in Connecticut and is a Connecticut Boy through and through. However, Nick Melillo moved down to Nicaragua over two decades ago to fully pursue his dream in the business.

The Highclere Castle cigars harken back to the very first cigars to be imported from Cuba into England in the Victorian era. The cigars are a follow up to the wildly popular Highclere Castle line that was inspired by the award-winning television drama Downtown Abbey.

As for the Charter Oak, which could easily be Foundation’s most popular cigar, it pays tribute to the famous Connecticut wrapper leaf revered for its amazing flavor and aroma. Using aged Nicaraguan tobaccos for binder and filler, these beautifully crafted and affordably priced smokes are available in your choice of a silky, golden-brown shade-grown, or a dark and oily Broadleaf wrapper.

Sit back and enjoy the delightful conversation these guys had with one another and you may just learn a thing or two from Nick Melillo himself!
