In this special episode of the Long Ash Podcast Nick is joined by cigar legend and icon Tim Ozgener, former founder of CAO and back on the scene as the CEO of Ozgener Family Cigars. Tim talks with Nick about his upbringing in a Turkish/Arminian household in the middle of Nashville, Tennessee. Tim’s Father, Cano, founded and ran CAO cigars for most of Tim’s life, during which Tim fell in love with the industry.

Years passed and Tim’s father sold CAO, leaving Tim with a tough decision to make. Tim stepped away from the industry for years before finally making his way back in the middle of 2022. He teamed up with Crowned Heads to release the Ozgener Family Cigars that launched in late 2022.

Coming back into the industry has been a dream for Tim after growing up in the industry now bringing the Bosphorus bridging the gap from his father’s generation cigars and modern-day blends, the Bosporus is a sophisticated blend coming out of Tabacalera La Alianza with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo for a creamy smooth smoke that covers the palate with deep notes of espresso and chocolate.
