Cigar Aficionado Top 25 of 2015 – #1

December 18, 2015

Well today is the day we learn what has been listed as the best Cigar of 2015. We have already seen fan favorites such as Drew Estate, Rocky Patel, Padron, and Arturo Fuente all receive rankings in the Top 10. Let us now take a look at the final entry, the illustrious #1 cigar of the year.

1.) My Father Le Bijou 1922 Torpedo Box Pressed– We all knew this list would not have been complete with outa cigar from the famed Pepin Garcia. The original My Father was blended by his son Jaime Garcia as a way to honor his father. Pepin was so touched by the gesture that the following year, he crafted a cigar to honor his own father. 1922 commemorates the year that Jose Garcia was born. Le Bijou translates as “the Jewel”, a fitting moniker for this Nicaraguan beauty. It uses a dark, Nicaraguan Oscuro wrapper, followed by vintage Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos. It is bold and rich, with notes of dark chocolate, leather, and a slight sweet finish. This torpedo is the only size in the line that is rolled into a box press shape. This 6 1/8 X 52 was given a 97 rating this year

Congratulations to My Father and all the winners this year. Check us out next week to see who received rankings 11-25.
