Mayorga coffees consist only of specialty-grade Arabica beans, which represent the top 3 percent of all coffees grown worldwide. In order to ensure consistency and quality, the company meticulously selects the green coffee beans from the world's leading coffee-growing estates.

Mayorga then delicately roasts the coffees in small batches to ensure maximum quality. This signature slow-roasting method develops the natural characteristics of each bean, while delivering the perfect balance of body and flavor.

Immediately after roasting, Mayorga coffees are packaged in heat-sealed foil bags with one-way degassing valves for optimal freshness.

Though coffee trees were introduced to Guatemala in the 1700s by Jesuit priests, the industry didn't take hold until further development by German settlers in the late 19th century. This coffee comes from small producers of Mayan descent in the highlands of Chimaltenango. It is medium to full in body with balanced spiciness, a tangy cocoa flavor, and a bold finish.
