WRAPPER: Costa Rica/Ecuador Habano BINDER: Nicaragua FILLER: Jamaica/Nicaragua
In an attempt to create a blend similar to that of the original Royal Jamaica brand, I contacted John Oliva to see if he could secure real Jamaican long-filler tobaccos. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to find any, as very little leaf is grown there due to dreadful labor conditions. He did manage to get his hands on some excellent short-filler tobaccos though. And so, we introduced the Red Dot line.
Handcrafted with an outstanding blend of short-filler tobaccos (50% Jamaican and 50% Nicaraguan visos), a smooth binder, and your choice of either a handsome, brown Ecuador Habano wrapper or a dark Costa Rica-grown maduro, this is as close as we’re ever gonna get to duplicating those old-time Royal Jamaicans! These beauties offer a creamy, rich, mild-to-medium-bodied smoking experience.

Short Filler That Smokes Like A Long
The Toro is well built, almost hefty, with a smooth, consistent draw and a razor-sharp burn line. It feels good in your hand. The fine, almost white ash belongs to a well aged, long-filler smoke, not your typical short-filler stick. Lots of flavor with this blend. Finally, a short-filler cigar that holds its shape and does not become spongy when hot.
Just like the old Royal Jamaicans
When I first read the brand description for these cigars I was skeptical. But being an old-timer I remember and used to smoke the now defunct Royal Jamaicans. But dang, these taste just like them. And they are cheap, which is an added bonus for us penny pinchers!! Flavor wise: Creamy, rich and pretty mild with that same unique floral note that made Royal Jamaicans famous.
Well worth three times the cost
I smoke a lot of different brands in the $5-$8 range and this little $2.00 cigar is better than many of them. I didnt expect much from this cigar but was amazed at how smooth and easy drawing it was. Although I smoke more expensive cigars, this has become my everyday smoke. You will be very surprised!
Nice everyday cigar
Had 4 out of a 5 pack. All burned well and burned fast. Not much flavor in the smoke, but it was bountiful. Had a bite to it about halfway through. For the price this is a good cigar and I would chose over many bundles I have tried in the past.
A new and different experience with each one!
I got the Maduro Toros. I have tried to smoke four. Two at arrival with poor results and another two after some time in the humi. They look great, but really strange things happened when lit. Two of them burnt most of the filler, but left the wrapper in tact, but very hot. One had lots of small holes in the wrapper that smoke would come out of as it burned. The other one had issues with the filler staying in the wrapper. I have them chilling in the humi praying for better days to come or to give to people I dont really like!
